To protect your family in the event of a Nuclear, Biological or Chemical attack you will need to create your own personal safe room.  What is a safe room?  Simply put, it is a strategy for protecting a building, or part of a building, from airborne hazards. A safe room is a sealed room, which can protect you from outside contaminated air in the event of a Nuclear, Biological or Chemical attack in your city or state.  A sealed room however, will not protect you for long.  The problem is quite evident.  In a short amount of time you will run out of oxygen, and carbon dioxide will quickly build up to unsafe levels.

By bringing clean fresh air into your safe room, you accomplish two things.  You will have a constant supply of oxygen rich fresh air to breath and in addition you are creating an overpressure in your safe room.  This will establish an outward flow of clean air through all intentional and unintentional cracks and openings, and keep the toxic and deadly air outside.
